Why: Not only is PIXELS The Movie about to unleash Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Q-Bert and friends on the world again in a big way, but here in Cleveland we’re teaming up with Sony to host a rad and/or tubular ’80s party the week before release! Events & Prizes: The Pixels team will be giving away Pixels T-shirts featuring arcade icons Donkey Kong, Q-Bert and Pac-Man, as well as free passes to see the July 21 preview screening at Crocker Park! Games Done Legit’s Final Boss Chris Hatala will be on-site to personally run two awesome tournaments, as well as host a FREE ’80s retrogaming party! Event No. 1: Donky Kong Hi-Score Challenge! Brush up on your King of Kong skills– you’ve got 1 chance (3 lives) to make your mark and post Cleveland’s hi-score! Event No. 2: Pac-Man Battle Royale tournament at the bar! Pac-Man Battle Royale is the ’80s classic we all know and love, but with 4-player competitive action! Every player controls a Pac-Man and fights to be the last Pac standing! We’re excited to be teaming up with Pixels and The Corner Alley to make this a retro-awesome-memorable evening for Cleveland videogame fans! Who’s coming?
