In addition to the 6 bar HDTVs (including an 80″ screen that was perfect for our June Mario Kart 8 tournament), we’ve got enough space to host classic and modern gaming throughout the entire bar. With Nintendo 64 Goldeneye 4-player showdowns on a projector screen and Super Smash Bros. Melee duels on the karaoke stage, Lakewood locals and the city’s best fighting-game players alike congregate each week for a real retro party. [caption id="attachment_755" align="alignnone" width="576"] Cleveland players are rewarded for their videogaming prowess thanks to the venue itself and Big Fun Toys’ ongoing prizes![/caption] Cleveland locals in June 2014 fought month-long for a Wii U Mario Kart 8 system bundle, as well, thanks to Big Fun Toys (one of the U.S.’s best games stores and an ally to local videogaming), The Side Quest (new geek-themed bar in Lakewood), and Hori  USA(makers of the world’s best professional gaming joysticks and controllers). Eventually a Top 4 emerged to show down in the final week, streamed live on ConsoleCombat’s sponsored Twitch channel. Who would win out? After an epic gauntlet, a winner emerged! We’re lucky that Cleveland has such a passionate gamerbase who will come out and support weekly videogame entertainment.
